We recently delivered a Graco Dutymax GH 300 DI pump to seal an agricultural silo. We’d like to take this opportunity to write down some important information about the Graco Dutymax GH 300 DI Procontractor.

- Graco Dutymax GH300 DI – ProContractor
Applications – Graco Dutymax GH 300 DI Procontractor
The Dutymax models are very powerful, and the GH 300 DI is even one of the most powerful airless in this series. It is therefore mainly used for large projects such as silo systems in agriculture or flat roof coatings.
The sprayer is also suitable for a range of highly viscous materials such as bitumen, fire protection or plaster. But of course, paints or roof coatings can also be sprayed with the Dutymax.
Here is an overview of the most important applications for this pump:
- Sealing silos
- Bitumen coating on houses or flat roofs
- Fire protection
- Roof coating
- Plasters
- Spraying paint over large areas
- Coating silos, silo plants and mobile silos

Design, functions and uses of the Graco Dutymax GH 300 DI Procontractor
A Honda petrol engine or 380-volt electric motor is used as the drive. The GH 300 DI operates with a hydraulic piston pump. Otherwise, it operates in the same way as any other paint-spraying machine.
The piston pump draws the material into the spray gun via the suction port. The material is brought to the desired pressure and pumped through the main filter into the material hose.
A pressure gauge is fitted to the main filter to check the material pressure. The material is pumped through the hose to the gun and nozzle. There, the material is sprayed and applied to the respective object. To control the pressure, there is an adjustment knob on the sprayer.
In addition, the GH 300 DI is equipped with a pressure relief valve that allows the spray gun to be cleaned and rinsed. Pressure can also be released through this valve during work breaks.
The sprayer is fitted with an oil filter for the hydraulic oil. The oil level can be checked using a dipstick.

Motor and pressure gauge for the Graco GH 300 DI pump
The “Procontractor” version of the Graco GH 300 DI comes with a number of extra features. For example, this version comes with 30 metres of hose instead of 15 metres for the standard version.
The lower part of the pump is fitted with a quick-change system that allows it to be removed in a few simple steps on site in the event of damage. If a replacement pump is available on site, work can continue in a matter of minutes, even if the pump is damaged.
In the meantime, the used pump can simply be taken to the workshop and work can continue.
The hose reel, which is fitted to the frame, is also very practical. Thanks to this accessory, even longer hoses can be easily handled and transported.

In a pre-purchase consultation, we clarify with the customer the exact requirements and optimum equipment for the spraying system. This ensures that the equipment (nozzles, filters, hoses, etc.) is optimally matched to the respective project and the material to be treated.
Finally, we equipped this Graco GH 300 DI pump for coating mobile silos in agriculture. Here, very large surfaces need to be sprayed, which is why we have equipped the spraying device with additional hoses, so that the customer can spray the entire surface without having to constantly change the spraying device.
The silo lining is delivered in drums, so we have equipped the sprayer with a drum suction system, so that the silo lining can be sucked up and treated directly from the drum.
The wheeled silos have partially high walls (4-5 metres high). Using spray lances simplifies the work and eliminates the need for ladders or scaffolding. The spraying device is therefore delivered to our customer with a 180 cm lance.
