What accessories are suitable for plasters? What do I need to change to go from plaster to paint?

The hose, gun, nozzle and filters must be replaced in this case.

  • Hose The Mark VII is supplied with a 1/2″ hose with an internal diameter of 13 mm. It’s ideal for plasters but not for paints. It is also thick, making it heavy and difficult to handle. You also need more paint to fill it, and as it’s more expensive than a paint hose, you might as well use it only when necessary.
  • Gun – The pump also comes with a Graco Blue Texspray spray gun. This is optimised for coating sprays thanks to its larger channel and the absence of a filter in its handle. What’s an advantage for plaster becomes a disadvantage for paint, as you need to use a gun filter to prevent the nozzle from clogging. As the Blue Texspray gun costs more than a paint gun, we also recommend using an airless gun like the Graco Contractor for this type of work.
  • Nozzle – Coating nozzles are larger than paint nozzles. You will therefore need to choose your nozzles according to the material you are spraying (see our nozzle table).
  • Filter – For coatings, you need to remove all the filters from your machine. For paints, on the other hand, you need to use filters in three specific places:
    • Strainer – It protects the pump from being sucked in any debris or dirt that may be present in the paint.
    • Main filter – An additional level of filtration at the outlet of the Graco Mark 7.
    • Gun filter – Il empêche la buse de colmatage intempestif.
