Acrylic paint is the paint of choice for most interior renovations by craftsmen and private individuals. This water-based paint is more environmentally friendly, easier to use and, above all, less harmful to users.
Here’s what you really need to know about spraying acrylic wall paint correctly with an airless sprayer.
Special features of acrylic wall paint
This type of interior paint is produced using environmentally-friendly acrylic dispersions. They can be diluted with water for spray application.
The dry film allows vapour to penetrate, allowing the coated surface to breathe. The painted wall can be cleaned with pure water without the risk of removing the paint, which is one of its great advantages.
Produced using high-quality acrylic resins, these paints are easy to apply and have excellent finishing properties.

Features and benefits of acrylic wall paint :
- environmentally-friendly product
- aesthetic qualities that meet the highest standards
- low content of volatile organic compounds
- very good covering power
- very good adhesion
- easy to apply with a brush, roller or airless spray gun
- quick drying
As opposed to acrylic paint, we often hear about glycerol paint. We’ve written a detailed article on the subject, and you can find out more about glycerol paint here.

Airless application of acrylic paint
Acrylic paints are water-based and are highly resistant to the addition of water. But because they are water-soluble, you can’t add too much.
This is why a maximum dilution of 10% is generally recommended for spray gun use. However, there are many airless paints that are ready to use and require no dilution.
