The right choice of nozzle is important if you want to use airless spray painting equipment professionally. Here’s a video showing a painter painting a wall. Unfortunately, he chose a nozzle with a very narrow spray pattern. As a result, with each movement of the arm, only a very narrow strip of paint is applied to the wall.
Choose a nozzle with a wider jet
If you choose a nozzle with a wider spray pattern, each movement of the arm covers more of the wall surface. As a result, the wall can certainly be treated three times faster. What’s more, there’s less physical strain on the user, who has to move much less to spray the same area of wall. With very narrow nozzles, it’s also more difficult to position the spray jet evenly and parallel to the previous strip of paint. This is why a larger nozzle (in this case, a 517 for example) also allows you to work more evenly and more cleanly.
How do I choose the right airless nozzle?
When choosing a nozzle, the right jet width and orifice size for the right amount of material play an important role. In the following video, we explain how to choose the right nozzle for each project.
