On Sunday 19 October 2025, massive water damage occurred in our Berlin shop, which surprised and deeply affected us all… In a very short space of time, the sales area was under water, so much so that the fire brigade had to intervene and pump out the water. The damage to the building and furniture was considerable.
Late on Sunday evening, our team spontaneously got together to deal with the situation. Together, we moved goods to safety, emptied the shop and began to take the first steps to limit the damage.
Since Monday morning, we have been working hard to secure the goods while maintaining day-to-day operations. In a very short space of time, we were able to set up a transitional site, where new shipping stations and a temporary office have already been installed. In the space of just one day, we managed to reorganise the main processes so that orders could continue to be processed and dispatched.
Despite all our efforts, it is impossible to avoid slight delays in advice and dispatch in such an exceptional situation. We thank you for your understanding and would like to stress that our entire team is working hard to guarantee the usual quality of service.
The water damage was an unexpected shock, which tested us not only logistically, but also emotionally. Despite this, it’s confidence that prevails with us: we see how much is possible when a team takes responsibility together and acts to find solutions. The rapid and determined commitment of all our colleagues makes us proud and shows that we can count on each other, even in times of crisis. We are now focusing on repairing the damage, step by step, while continuing to stabilise all processes.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers for their patience and understanding over the last few days. Their support also motivates us to make the most of the situation and to continue providing our usual high quality service.
Despite the challenges, we are looking to the future. Reconstruction has already begun, and we are determined to be back at your service under normal conditions soon.
