Where can I get a Wagner 28-40 screen or suction strainer? We have received a request from a customer who uses an old Wagner 28-40 compressed-air piston pump. This model is already a few years old, but it is still used in many carpentries and locksmith’s workshops. Over time, the filter bell becomes blocked or damaged in some other way. It then needs replacing. That’s how we received this request:

Filter bell for Wagner 28-40
The filter bell (Wagner item number 0115190) is located at the lower end of the suction tube and reaches the paint bucket. When the paint is sucked in, it must first pass through the sieve in the filter bell. This prevents dirt, lumps or dried paint residues from being sucked into the piston pump. This protects the airless device, gun and nozzle from damage or blockage.

The complete filter bell consists of a plastic housing. It also includes a clamp that holds the sieve in place and the filter disc.

Wagner Puma 28-40 – the successor
Since Wagner 28-40 painters have already aged somewhat, in some cases it is no longer worth repairing them for economic reasons. Some spare parts are no longer available. The question then arises of purchasing a replacement unit. That’s where the next model, the Wagner Puma 28-40, comes in.
The advantage: the structure and operation are comparable to those of the old model. So you can continue working as usual in no time at all. What’s more, the Puma 28-40 is available with a range of different equipment options. The options range from Airless to AirCoat, as a free-standing unit or on a trolley.
