In the following article we summarize important information about the conversion of the Wagner AC 4600 with the reversible nozzle holder. What is the advantage of the reversible nozzle system compared to the classic AirCoat nozzle?
The reversible nozzle system allows quick cleaning in case a nozzle becomes clogged. Conventional AirCoat nozzles must be removed in case of blockages for cleaning – this is an unnecessary interruption of the workflow. Usually there is paint on the nozzle, therefore extra cleaning effort is needed before you can remove the nozzle. With conventional nozzles – the nozzle must be removed and free of paint. Then the nozzle channel is clear of the blockage. For this you can use special cleaning needles.
With the turning nozzle system it is much easier. If there is a blockage, the nozzle in the nozzle holder is rotated 180 degrees. Then material from the other side is pushed through the nozzle channel and the blockage dissolves. In practice, a matter of 3 seconds. Thus, you can work smoothly and without interruption.
Can the Wagner GM 4600 AC AirCoat gun be retrofitted with a reversible nozzle?
Yes, it’s easy. All you need is the nozzle holder with air cap and a Wagner FineFinish nozzle. The nozzle holder with air cap is screwed on in front of the AirCoat gun in a few easy steps. The FineFinish reversible nozzle is inserted into the nozzle holder and off you go.

Can further spray guns be equipped with the turning nozzle system?
In addition to the 4600 AC, other Wagner pistols such as the Wagner 4700 AC and the 4500 AC can be equipped with the reversing nozzle holder.
