Thinking of upgrading from an Airless pump to an AirCoat pump (also known as aircombi or air-assisted pumps)? The two different paint spraying techniques are generally used for very different sorts of painting jobs, but if a painter is flexible and working on different things, it can be worth considering to make a paint sprayer convertible. A customer from the UK asked us exactly that:

Hello,

I was wondering, if I upgrade my already owned Wagner SF23 plus airless, how much would it cost to go from standard model to having the extra aircoat set-up?

And also, what parts are needed to achieve the conversion?

I would also like to know if there is any additional benefit in having tempspray and aircoat together.

I live in the UK and it’s a little harder to find a good supplier.

Many thanks XXX

What you need to convert an Airless pump into an aircoat pump

– a compressor – Here goes to the compressor in our online shop
– a device to regulate the pressure – Pressure regulator in our online shop
– an air hose and a paint hose – Air and paint hoses in our online shop
– an AirCoat gun, which differs from a standard Airless gun because it is connected to an air hose as well – click here to see the Wagner GM 4600 AC gun in our online shop

If you want to read more in detail on the subject, you can have a look at the article here. And in the video below you can see how our technician performs the job.
